This holiday season make persisting memories with your young ones. Have your kids make easy homemade ornaments. You will enjoy them on your Christmas tree long after your children have left the nest. Here are two easy to make ornaments.
1) limited bell ornaments.
What you need: Egg carton. Paint. Pipe cleaners (buy at arts and craft store.) limited beads or limited bells. Glue gun or strong tacky glue.
Cut off top of egg carton.
Now flip over bottom so it looks like a row of bells.
Cut out each egg space to make a bell. Have your child paint these cardboard bells. Once bells are dry, punch a hole through top of each. The hole should be big adequate for a pipe cleaner to go through. Once pipe cleaner is through the hole curve the top so it looks like a hook. Your child will use this hook to place bell on tree. Under the bell glue a bead, or a limited silver bell, to end of pipe cleaner. This insures pipe cleaner does not slip through top. You can also tie red or green ribbons colse to bell hook for a festive look.
Snowflake Ornament
2) Snowflake ornaments.
Buy some cotton tips (White or pink). Crisscross three to four. Glue them together at middle with tacky glue. Or wrap them all together in middle with string. Have your child loop a thin string or a ribbon. Glue to top of tip. (With white string you can glue hanging string to middle of snowflake.) Let dry.
Hang on whether Christmas tree or curtain rod. This looks nice- Hang a row of snowflakes at different levels from a curtain rod.
